Published on 9/19/2004 • Joelle A. Schmitz, daughter of Richard R. and Jacqueline T. Schmitz of Nauyaug Point Road, Mason's Island, Mystic, has been invited to present research on international trade to the Canadian Political Science Association in Winnipeg. Schmitz did the research as a U.S. Fulbright Scholar, hosted by McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. Schmitz obtained a master's degree in public policy at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government and has completed coursework at Harvard Business School, Harvard Law School and L'Ecole Nationale d'Administration in Paris. She also is ranked No. 1 in the United States in her age/gender class in adult recreational-level giant slalom ski racing. © The Day Publishing Co., 2004
